Fishing Queen!

Good afternoon all! You'll never guess what Serry did to enjoy the 70-something degree weather we had this Friday? She headed out to a local lake and went FISHING!!
Here are some fun pictures for you to enjoy... it was a GORGEOUS day and absolutely perfect for fishing. Here's the "gang" (i.e. Serry, my dad, and friend, Steve) out on the lake.
Steve has the COOLEST chair EVER for fishing... it's a Cabella's RECLINER. PERFECT for Serry!

Of course some of you want to know what she caught... I don't know all the specifics, but, besides all the ones they released, she brought home 16 and 17 inch Rainbow Trouts! Here's the hunter with her catch...

I LOVE this picture. All she needs is someone feeding her grapes and some palm fronds waving at her to cool her off.
I heard stories from both her and Dad about the day... it simply sounds so HAPPY. I'm really grateful that they got to have such a wonderful time!!

Today was Serry's last day of "vacation." Tomorrow she heads back up to the hospital for round 3 of chemo. Please pray for everything to go better than it ever has. Everyone is watching more and more closely each time--there are a lot of things to monitor. We need healthy kidneys, salt and potassium levels up, blood, platelets, and everything else that can be "counted" need to not drop too far.

Each time gets more difficult... We've only got two left--two more months of this and then she DONE with treatment and on to recovery. Please keep her in prayer; and drop her a note of encouragement on here. I know it's tough to go into each one of these sessions.

Hey there Serry, what a great day of fishing! You must have been at Summit Lake, because I can see my best friends house in the back ground of your second picture. It is the teal/green home across the lake! What a small world!
I am so glad you were able to take a day and go do something recreational and soak up some warm sun! Love the chair, I might do more fishing too if I had a chair like that to sit in! Well, we are praying your next round of treatment goes as smoothly as possible! Take Care!
Love ya, Brandie

Okay Serry....hopefully I can get a comment on here! What a blessing for you to spend the day enjoying God's nature. You even have a prayer group here in Texas!! My Bible study ladies are keeping track of you as well and we pray for you daily. Love, love, LOVE seeing that beautiful smile of yours!
God bless and know we are thinking of you.

OH, I see how it is, you're supposed to be at home, hanging out, reading, etc, but no! Not this girl! Fishing?!? did you clean it yourself? *big eyes*

Lets see... Oh, Kimberly's cat had a single kitten, looks exactly the same as Momma! It's too bad she only had one as Mom had orders for 3 kittens, one for them, one for me and one for another friend. Mom's thinking about whether or not to let her have one more litter before getting her fixed.

Other than that, just goin and doin! Causing trouble, the usual!

~Huge hugs~
PS you know life is boring when the update is about parent's pets reproducing...

Serry,

What a fun trip! When I worked in Management and Operations (as it was called then), and had summers off, I got a fishing license every summer. What nice rainbow trout you got! I hope the entire family got to enjoy them.

Stay strong. You remain in our thoughts and prayers. Take care.

Hey girl! Happy Friday! I'm going to go to THS to go watch Kimberly's play tonight... I've only been back for a couple of homecoming games, so it's going to be interesting. They are putting on Anything Goes. She's a flirty chorus girl.

Thinking of you!

Hi Serry,

Thanks for the pictures of your fishing trip. I especially like the one where you are leaning back on the chair with your hand behind your head and an absolutely delightful smile on your face. There is no doubt that you really enjoyed the day. Use that happy feeling to bolster your strength as you move forward through chemo.

Best wishes,
Sheila

My you are getting great care and love from your family. What good people. You are so very fortunate. But then of course, it is you! Keep getting better and stronger.

Hey Ser!

The play was great, it was funny going inside and telling my partner "This used to be the pit" it's all filled in now from the remodel, and man does it look smaller! Kimberly did a great job! They had prom the next night... How about the weather today? Sun/rain/sun/rain/muggy. Enough w/the mugginess!
